UK DTT platform Freeview has renewed its contract with European TV set manufacturer Vestel.
The deal will see the Freeview Play service prominently featured on Vestel manufactured TVs for a further five years. Vestel produces TVs for more than 20 brands including JVC, Hitachi and Toshiba.
Under the terms of the new agreement Vestel will provide an introduction video about Freeview Play and Vestel’s 2021 TV packaging will show the Freeview Play offering and its core apps: BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and STV Player.
