Virgin Media Ireland reported revenues of €378 million in 2019, according to figures posted with Companies House in Ireland.
Customer numbers rose from 454,800 in 2018 to 479,017 in 2019 with much of the increase in revenue attributable to an increase in revenue from mobile telephony.
The figures, first reported by The Irish Times, give additional detail on numbers already declared by parent Liberty Global in its regular financial statements.
However, despite increased revenues, the cost of sales went up from €73 million to €85 million with an increase in other operating expenses from €234 million to €255 million.
Employee numbers dropped from 751 to 665 during the year, although staff costs went up from €55.2 million to €59.8 million.
80 additional staff have been taken on this year as a result of customer demand due to the Coronavirus crisis.
As of June 30, 2020, Liberty Global reported Virgin Media Ireland had 998,300 RGUs. (Revenue Generating Units).
