Telefónica’s pay-TV subscriber total fell by 50,000 in its home market Spain in the third quarter.
This, says the company in its latest set of results, was in part due to a net loss of accesses from Movistar + Lite following a large increase in the base in Q2 due to lockdown.
As of the end of Q3, Telefonica’s Spanish business had a total of 4,004,300 pay-TV customers.
Telefónica Group as a whole had revenues of €10,461 million in Q3, or 12.1% (reported) less than in the corresponding period last year.
However, the figure was 1.2% higher than the previous quarter. OIBDA was €2,672 million (-2.8%) in Q3 and the loss in Q3 €160 million.
