Moldova’s president Igor Dodon has spoken of the need for Russian TV channels to return to the country.
According to Mediasat, quoting Cableman, he said he wants to see a revision of amendments made to the Code on Television and Radio Broadcasting made in 2017.
These effectively banned the retransmission of services from countries that had not ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television, and in particular Russian TV channels.
Dodon earlier opposed the amendments to the code. He will be up for re-election in a poll scheduled for November 1.
