Disney has rolled out its GroupWatch feature for European subscribers of streaming service Disney+.
GroupWatch went live in the United States last month and allows a subscriber to invite up to six other subscribers to watch together.
“Storytelling comes alive when you’re able to share and enjoy it with others, and in this moment when many are still apart from their friends and family, GroupWatch offers a way to safely connect virtually by co-viewing your favourite Disney+ stories with your favourite people from the comfort of your living room,” said Jerrell Jimerson, SVP, product, Disney.
Up to 7 people can join a group, including the host. Up to 4 different profiles on a Disney+ account can also participate.
Participants can pause, play, fast forward, or rewind the content for everyone in the group.
