Canal+ Polska set for IPO

October 22, 2020 09.17 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Canal+ Polska has announced its intention to float on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Commenting on the development, Edyta Sadowska, president and CEO of Canal+ Polska, said: “I am pleased to announce our intention to float on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, offering international and Polish investors the opportunity to invest in Canal+ Polska, the first choice for premium entertainment in Poland. As the Polish economy continues to expand and the demand for entertainment among Polish households rises, we expect to see an increasing desire for premium pay- TV services, which we are exceptionally well positioned to deliver thanks to our unmatched premium content offering and customer experience. The recent launch of our own Over-the-Top (OTT) offering in May 2020 provides an exciting growth avenue for Canal+ Polska, allowing us to reach new audiences and enhance our offering to our loyal customers.

“We believe Canal+ Polska can offer investors both strong cash flows and an attractive growth story, evidenced by our revenue growth of 3.3% CAGR between 2017 and 2019 and cash conversion of 60.3% in 2019. In our financial results for the first half of this year organic revenue grew by 2.8% year-over- year, demonstrating the resiliency of our model and our key role in the entertainment choices of our subscribers. We look forward to sharing the next phase of our journey with public shareholders”.

Canal+ Polska operates the DTH platform Platforma Canal+ and 12 proprietary premium channels. It is also involved in film distribution to cinemas through the company Kino ?wiat.
