Canal+ Group’s acquisition of M7 has given a boost to the revenues of parent company Vivendi.
International operations grew by 27.4% following the addition of 1.2 million subscribers across all territories.
M7 has operations in Belgium (TV Vlaanderen and TéléSat), the Netherlands (CanalDigitaal and Online.nl), Austria (HD Austria), Skylink in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, and M7 Deutschland in Germany.
Third quarter revenues for the group stood at €1,380 million, while revenues for the first nine months of 2020 were €4,054 million, up 6.6% compared to the same period in 2019.
The total number of subscribers now stands at 20.4 million, compared to 19.0 million at the end of September 2019, including 8.6 million in mainland France.
Revenues from French TV operations were down slightly on 2019 due to a downturn in the advertising market caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
