French OTT platform Molotov has reacted to the upcoming launch of rival Salto with a revamp to its packages.
In a statement, Molotov said it would remain faithful to its freemium model that gave access to 34 channels including those part of the French DTT platform, TNT, and their catchup services.
12 million users are now registered to the service.
Molotov Plus at €3.99 a month features 58 channels that can be viewed across 4 simultaneous screens, recording in the cloud, and Full HD and 4K where available. 24 additional channels include RTL9, Action, NRJ Hits, Mezzo, Trace, Top Santé and international news channels.
Molotov Extended, includes 96 channels on 4 simultaneous screens, is described as the “reference offer for the whole family”. There are 62 channels above the basic offer for €9.99 per month.
Salto, backed by France Télévisions. TF1 and M6 goes live Tuesday.
