The Czech public broadcaster Ceska Televize (CT) is on average trusted by 68% of the country’s population on the reporting of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This, according to the findings of a report by the Kantar CZ agency and quoted by CT, contrasts with the 42% trust placed in other TV news outlets.
Significantly, both seniors and those aged 18-29 expressed the highest trust in CT (71% and 70% respectively).
In terms of education, graduates (78%) scored the highest, while the was little overall difference between men and women (67% and 69% respectively).
CT also had a high degree of trust during the first wave of the pandemic, with its reporting being considered important and credible by nine out of ten viewers.
The latest research was undertaken between September 21 and October 9.
