French streaming platform Salto has confirmed its pricing model for its launch on October 20.
The joint venture between France Télévisions, TF1 and M6 is akin to the UK Britbox, with productions previously seem on the parent channels, though Salto will not initially be developing its own productions.
Subscribers will however be treated to previews of popular shows, including soaps, 48 hours before their linear broadcast.
Pricing is on a par with other streamers in the French marker at €6.99 for a single screen and €12.99 for four users.
Salto is seen as the first major French project to counter the popularity of Netflix. Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and the Canal+ streaming service MyCanal are already present in the market.
Tests to an initial audience of 300 began in June 2020.
