Over 30 Ukrainian operators have received claims for copyright infringement.
Quoting Detector Media, Mediasat reports that they have been filed by the Coalition for Audiovisual and Musical Rights (KAMP) and the list of operators includes Lanet. Megogo and Divan.TV.
The amounts range from UAH223,000 (€6,608) to UAH825,000, with the highest individual amount being to Lanet (UAH792,800), followed by Divan. TV (UAH752,700).
However, Megogo’s OTT service is facing three separate claims of UAH223,600, UAH597,600 and UAH443,200.
Earlier this year providers justified increases in their fees averaging 15-25% on rises on royalty payments.
