Universal Electronics (UEI) is supplying a new voice-enabled remote control that will be used across six European countries.
Customers in Poland are already using the remote, which is supplied with the new 4K Mini TV Box, which is Liberty’s first all IP device and powered by Liberty Global’s next generation TV platform, Horizon 4.
The compact 4K Mini TV Box, which is made from 35% recycled plastic and reduces energy consumption by 77% compared to its previous set-top boxes.

The BLE voice-enabled remote control is powered by UEI chip technology, which enables longer battery life, with automated setup and control through UEI’s cloud-based QuickSet platform.

The remote and set-top will be introduced in Liberty Global’s other markets in 2021.
