TV milestone for Orange Polska

October 8, 2020 11.41 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Polish incumbent Orange Polska now has one million subscribers to its TV services.

Commenting on the development, Artur Stankiewicz, the company’s director of marketing for the consumer market, said: “We are glad that our consistent efforts to expand the TV offer with new channels and new functionalities translated into commercial success. We achieved this result also thanks to Orange Love. Almost 85% of Orange Television customers use television as part of the Orange Love package. We can see how powerful it is to offer clients a package of services, including television services”.

Orange TV currently offers over 190 channels, most of which are in HD and three in 4K. Its customers were the first in the Polish market to be offered 4K services three years ago, including Stingray Festival 4K and Eleven Sports 1 4K. Currently, 343,000 Orange customers use 4K set-top boxes.

Orange TV customers using IPTV technology and a 4K set-top box can watch selected series and programmes in 4K quality available on Netflix, directly from the set-top box.

Orange TV also offers many additional services, including a multi-recorder with the function of playing from scratch or watching already broadcast programmes. 1t is already used by 127,000 customers.

Orange TV in addition includes a Go application and an extensive movie rental library.
