senseLAN chooses Zattoo for next-gen IPTV service

October 6, 2020 08.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Swiss network operator senseLAN has selected the Zattoo TV platform for the relaunch of its NexTV service.

Based on its white label approach, the TV product is hosted and managed by Zattoo and available on a wide range of applications and devices such as Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, mobile devices and web-based applications.

SenseLAN is the second Zattoo customer to have opted for the 4K/UHD set-top box powered by Android TV, offered in partnership with Skyworth.

NexTV combines live TV with interactive features such as nPVR, 7-day catch-up, replay, instant restart and live pause. The TV line-up comprises more than 300 channels, many of which are available in Full HD quality.

“The project with senseLAN was special in that it marks what is a new and likely future oriented way of delivering a fully hosted and managed TV platform: It was implemented entirely remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Astrid Boecken, director project and client success management at Zattoo.

“Together with senseLAN, we delivered the new NexTV platform in just ten weeks from kick-off to go live. We were able to benefit from many years of experience and, despite the difficult situation, we were able to meet our delivery milestones exactly on schedule.”
