New and existing BT Broadband and BT TV customers are to be offered a six month subscription to Britbox.
The ITV-BBC streaming platform launched a new series of Spitting Image at the weekend. It also screens episodes of Top Gear, Downton Abbey and Happy Valley.
After the initial six-month period ends, customers can choose to continue paying for BritBox at £5.99/month directly through their BT bill.
Sharon Meadows, Director of Propositions, BT said, “There’s never been a better time to sign up to BritBox and for our TV and broadband customers the next 6 months are on us. We could all do with a little entertainment right now and what could be better than indulging in some of the most iconic British dramas, comedies and films?”.
Britbox was initially added to BT’s YouView homes in May.
Tom Price, BritBox’s Commercial Director added, ‘It’s fantastic that BT is making it even easier for their customers to join BritBox, and with this new offer there’s no reason not to give it a try and experience brand-new Spitting Image alongside the best collection of amazing British box sets, films and theatre.’
BT customers will be able to access BritBox content through the BritBox app on smartphones, tablets and a wide range of smart TVs. BT TV customers will also be able to stream from their set-top box.
