Fix&Foxi launches global SVOD offer on Huawei Video

September 29, 2020 08.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German children’s and family channel Fix&Foxi is launching a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) offer within the Huawei video app on the Huawei mobile platform.

The move follows a strategic content partnership which parent company Your Family Entertainment (YFE) concluded with Huawei Video.

The Fix&Foxi streaming channels will include the most popular children’s and family series from YFE’s extensive rights portfolio. They will be available in several countries in Europe as well as countries in the Asia Pacific region (excluding China) and the MENA region.

To provide consumers with a globalised and localised audio-visual content experience, Huawei Video is building a global video ecosystem in more than 20 countries and regions in collaboration with international and local partners. The line-up includes movies, TV series, variety shows, news, sports, children’s programmes, documentaries and music concerts.

“We are happy to team up with Huawei Video and make our content available internationally on its platform. We are looking forward to building a loyal audience with our kids-safe content that can be trusted by parents. This partnership fits perfectly with our digital expansion strategy while we are working together with strong platforms around the world,” Armin Schnell, head of sales at YFE, said in Munich.
