Swisscom is to rebrand its TV, streaming, cinema and gaming services under the single brand ‘blue’.
IPTV platform Swisscom TV becomes blue TV, with a smart TV app added alongside the webplayer available at blue.ch. Netflix, Sky, OCS, Spotify, DAZN and YouTube are all available through blue, with the new addition of Amazon Prime Video, which is offering an initial 7-day free trial.
Wolfgang Elsässer, new Head of Entertainment at Swisscom: “Our mission is to inspire our customers throughout Switzerland with our unique entertainment worlds – any time and anywhere. blue represents a milestone in this.”
The smart TV app will be available for Samsung sets from the beginning of October, to be followed by other providers, including LG.
Long-standing pay-TV channel Teleclub becomes blue+, the largest Swiss provider of exclusive sport, films, documentaries and series.
In the next few weeks, the app with the entire blue+ content will be launched on UPC TV boxes. The launch on additional competitor products is to follow in 2021.
