Poland’s Telewizja Polsat has become the sole owner of Spektrum TV, the operator of the channels Fokus TV and Nowa TV.
Up until now, it had been a minority (49.48%) owner in the company, with the majority of shares held by ZPR Media.
In a statement on the transaction, the financial details of which were not released, Telewizja Polsat’s owner Cyfrowy Polsat said that “thanks to it, it will also be possible to strengthen, develop and more effectively build (the channels’) programming offer based on Polish productions”.
Significantly, the transaction also marks ZPR Media’s exit from the Polish TV broadcasting market. In future it will concentrate on TV production.
