According to the latest figures published by the regulator HAKOM, this was 0.49% more than three months earlier. The total number of IPTV subscribers stood at 439,319 (+0.51%) and those receiving cable services 176,438 (-0.33%).
Satellite and pay-DTT subscriber totals amounted to 147,777 (+1.02%) and 72,022 (+1.38%) respectively.
Meanwhile, revenues from pay-TV services in Q2 were HRK200,472,770 – €26,558,600 (-0.34%).
HAKOM also says that the number of independent TV viewers in Q2 was 118,076 (-0.93%) and receiving only terrestrial TV services 644,949 (-0.63%).
Furthermore, it says that growth in the pay-TV market in the first half of this year was 2.6% higher than in the same period in 2019. Over half (56%) of Croatian households used pay-TV services as of the end of Q2.
Interestingly, the number of subscribers opting for quad-play packages exceeded that for triple-play for the first time in Q2.
