ODMedia Group, the Dutch content services company and leader in media processing and aggregation for on-demand media, has signed a deal with German content distributor SchröderMedia that will bring their library of titles to global digital exploitation.
With a library of over 2,200 titles, with classics and popular titles such as Anne Frank, Hexe Lilli, Get the Dance, or Why we are creative, SchröderMedia is a distributor of feature films, TV productions and documentaries in German-speaking countries.
Under the deal, ODMedia will represent SchröderMedia as an aggregator for all global OTT platforms, providing digital-rights management, monetization, design, target audience development, cross-promotion, and managing SchröderMedia’s catalogue for TVOD / EST, SVOD and AVOD.
“SchröderMedia is an established and notable content partner in Germany with a vast globally available catalogue for all genres. We couldn’t be more pleased to be the one-stop solution for their global digital expansion,” said Sjef Pijnenburg, CEO of ODMedia Group.
“The continued successful expansion of ODMedia Group has made them the ideal partner for us. For our German distribution as well as our global digital distribution,” said Arnold Scheele, Director Digital Sales & Acquisition, Marketing & PR, Business Development at SchröderMedia.
“Their knowledge of the worldwide digital market will allow us to make our titles available in our home market as well as worldwide.”
In a related development, ODMedia Group has signed on with ODMedia Group for YouTube management. Expoza, ODMedia Group’s specialised YouTube division, will handle all aspects including channel structure, content management and SEO optimisation for the premier online sports channel. Furthermore, User Generated Content (UGC) and monetisation strategies will be applied to ensure new content and the vast archive of IJF are protected and revenues are correctly applied to IJF.
The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the official media portal for judo. Since 2009, IJF has established a full competition calendar which includes 18 events per year including World Championships and the World Judo Tour. A World Ranking List, new rules and revamped competition system made judo a more comprehensive and modern sport. Today more than 20 million people practice judo globally through 200 affiliated National Federations on five continents.
Audiences worldwide can catch all IJF World Judo Tour events live on the IJF’s Official YouTube channel along with key highlight shows.
“We have been working tirelessly on developing our online presence and are thrilled to partner with ODMedia to further develop our YouTube channel,” added Vlad Marinescu, Chief Media & Marketing Officer at IJF.
