Gazprom’s media business was significantly impacted by the pandemic in the second quarter.
Latest results published by the company show that consolidated revenues decreased by 22% and amounted to R17.8 billion (€201.7 million) due to a decrease in TV ad revenue of 19% and 38% fall in income from audio and video distribution rights.
Consolidated expenses decreased by 11% to R19.6 billion, while the operating and net losses were R1.8 billion and R2.2 billion respectively.
First half figures show revenues falling by 8% to R42.7 billion, with ad revenues also 8% lower at R30.5 billion.
The operating and net losses were R184 million and R1.3 billion respectively.
