The leading Ukrainian cable operator Volia will introduce a new and additional sports package on September 1.
Known as Football HD, it will contain the channels Football 1 and Football 2, transferred from all its major packages, and cost UAH109 (€3.33) a month to receive.
Also on September 1, Volia will introduce a new basic package known as Volia Sport HD.
Designed for viewers who choose quality sports content and the main national TV channels, it will consist of 76 channels. Sixteen of these will be sports channels and they will include Eurosport 1 and 2 HD, Setanta Sports, XSports and Futbol 1, 2, 3 and Shakhtar TV.
The package will cost UAH269 a month and UAH169 without internet access.
Volia Sport HD will be available to both digital and interactive TV subscribers, as well as those to the TV Volia mobile service.
Volia says that its offer includes an additional sports package that features, amongst others, Eursport, Bundesliga, Setanta Sports, NBA, NHL, Formula 1 and UFC.
