Ukraine’s leading cable operator Volia has entered into a long-term co-operation agreement and signed several contracts to receive new products from Walt Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.
The main highlight is content from 21st Century Fox, which is now owned by Disney.
Commenting on the development, Anna Walczak, Disney’s director of sales for Central, Eastern Europe and Africa, said: “We are very happy to expand cooperation with Volia. Our task is to provide Will users with the most interesting content”.
Under the terms of the deal Volia customers will be able to watch all new content and premieres from Walt Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm on Cine + TV channels, as well as a monthly SVOD service. They will also be able to rent movies on an TVOD basis for UAH69 (€2.1).
Furthermore, they will be offered 150 films each year through the online service Volia Cinema, the ABC Studios series and 500 episodes of animated content from Disney Channel.
Sandra Krauina, marketing director of Volia, added: “Briefly summarisng the results of our cooperation, we have one of the largest subscription cinemas, with a variety of content from Disney, in Ukraine.
