Telekom Romania’s revenues in the second quarter were, at €228.9 million, only 1% lower than in the same period last year.
However, those for the first six months of 2020 were 4.1% higher at €466 million.
The incumbent nevertheless saw a 9% year-on-year reduction in its TV subscribers in Q2, with the total falling to 1,256,120. The number of fixed broadband subscribers also fell, by 9.1% to 959,448, while the number of FMC customers increased by 9.4% to 880,769.
Meanwhile, Telekom Romania’s parent company OTE saw its Q2 revenues fall 3.8% year on-year in Q2 to €692.3 million while in H1 they were down 1.2% to €1,399.1 million.
The number of TV subscribers were 3.6% higher at 563,197.
The group’s adjusted profit in Q2 amounted to €151.1 million, compared to €98.5 million a year earlier.
