The Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU) has launched a tender in which it will award radio frequencies in the 700 MHz and 3400–3600 MHz bands.
It has also published a table with the settlement of comments received in the public consultation launched at the beginning of June this year.
According to the regulator, its aim is “to set competition, ensure the efficient use of radio frequencies and support technological innovation and the development of future 5th generation networks by setting the conditions of the tender. At the same time, the CTU will also support the future communication of crisis and security forces (PPDR communication) through the conditions of the auction”.
It adds that achieving these goals is based on a thorough evaluation of the public consultation.
Applications will be accepted until September 30. They will be opened on the following day and after an assessment, applicants will receive information on the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of the conditions for participation.
Successful bidders will receive an invitation to the auction part of the tender.
