Czech TV enhances HbbTV service

August 7, 2020 08.53 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech public broadcaster Ceska Televize (CT) has launched a new version of its iVysilani: D application.

In addition to the website of the children’s channel CT: D, which sees an average of one million visits per month, viewers can also watch their favourite programmes via the Red Button on the TV remote control.

CT says that the newly deployed version of the second most visited HbbTV application of iVysilani: D brings a clearer and more intuitive layout and a new design.

It adds that viewers can watch programmes from the children’s channel not only on the Decka website, but also in the iVysilani: D application, which is offered by HbbTV. The archive records approximately two million views a month and is one of the most popular on HbbTV.

The newly deployed version brings viewers more information, a clearer offer of bonus or related videos and makes it easier search for favourite shows. In addition, the update has harmonised the design of iVysilani : D with the Decka website.

CT has been providing HbbTV services since May 2012 and its Red Button is used by over half a million viewers a month.
