3 Screen Solutions (3SS), the German provider of software solutions for set-top boxes and multiscreen entertainment, has been chosen by Austria’s national broadcasting services provider ORS for the upcoming launch of its new simpliTV digital TV service.
3SS is leading design, development and integration for the next-generation service, based on its 3Ready product framework, including an adaptive user interface across all devices.
Austrian DTT platform SimpliTV launched in April 2013 via DVB-T2. The service subsequently expanded into a hybrid offer also available to DTH satellite households via Astra (19,2° Ost) and includes an OTT service providing TV streaming and interactive services.
