The streaming platform Salto, operated by France Télévisions, TF1 and M6, will launch on October 1.
According to Satellifax, the news was given on several occasions by Nicolas de Tavernost, the chairman of M6’s executive board, speaking during a presentation on July 28 to discuss the company’s latest set of results.
The commercial launch had been previously postponed until the autumn due to the coronavirus pandemic, though technical tests have been under way since June 3.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the platform will have an offer spanning films, series, documentaries, youth TV, news, reality TV. It is yet to announce its pricing, but it is expected to be in a range between €5 and €10 per month.
