Sooner, a new streaming service, has launched today, which wants to position itself as an alternative to Netflix, Amazon and other established players by focussing on European films and series beyond the mainstream.
The line-up includes award-winning works by renowned directors, new releases by young filmmakers, short films and documentaries from the art house and independent genre. Many productions have so far only been shown at film and series festivals such as the Festival de Cannes, Berlinale, Sundance Film Festival or Séries Mania.
Sooner, which is operated by German-French company ContentScope, can be tested free of charge for 14 days; the regular subscription costs €7.95 per month. A one-year subscription equals €4.99 per month. The subscription can be used by several people.
