M7 Deutschland secures 6 new carriage partners

German platform operator M7 Deutschland has secured distribution contracts with six new network operators in the first half of 2020.

The agreements enable the providers to supply their customers with German-language and international TV channels. The new partners are Stadtwerke Neustrelitz, Stadtwerke Unna, Emden Digital, Rapidata and Cable 4 from Germany as well as SenseLan from Switzerland.

With M7’s license portfolio for the distribution of TV channels on cable networks (DVB-C) and IPTV platforms, network operators, public utility providers and city carriers can offer free-TV and pay-TV packages, increase customer loyalty and address new target groups, according to the company.

M7 is in advanced negotiations with further network operators regarding distribution contracts.

The channel line-up is also growing: M7 recently signed a long-term distribution agreement with ProSiebenSat.1, which includes all currently available channels as well as the four new channels Sat.1 Gold HD, Kabel Eins Doku HD, Sat.1 Emotions and Kabel Eins Classics, which M7 partners can now make available to their customers.

International travel and lifestyle channel Travelxp 4k has recently been added to the Ultra HD portfolio.
