German media company High View has launched a free-TV music channel for fans of German-language pop music on Astra (19.2° East).
Schlager Deluxe has taken over the channel slot of Bollywood channel Zee.One which closed down on May 31, 2020 and broadcasts in SD resolution.
The focus is on music videos with modern Schlager hits from the past five years. German pop, cult and party hits will be added in the course of the year.
“We are very pleased, especially in these challenging times, to be able to further expand our channel portfolio at High View. With Schlager Deluxe, we are offering the large Schlager fan community a new home on free-TV,” said High View managing director Alexander Trauttmansdorff.
In the music genre, High View also operates free-TV channel Deluxe Music and pay-TV channels RCK.TV, Jukebox and Gute Laune TV. The channel portfolio also includes Planet, Waidwerk, Just Cooking and Xplore.
