Insight TV has signed a distribution agreement with Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor.
As a result, its HD channel is now available on Tricolor’s DTH platform, as well as on the Tricolor Kino and TV application for OTT customers.
Commenting on the development, Adina Gorita, distribution manager, Insight TV, said: “Being the pioneer of UHD broadcasting in Russia, Tricolor was the first platform to launch Insight TV UHD in October 2015.
“Now, we are particularly excited to have the opportunity to expand our relationship with them to include our HD feed as well, which is available to over 15 million subscribers”.
Insight TV notes that its UHD and HD feeds are fully localised and available to all TV platforms in the region.
It also says that it is working with St Petersburg-based TV company First HDTV to expand the distribution of its UHD and HD channels in Russia and the CIS.
