Media Group Ukraine’s news channel Ukraine 24 will now be available to 5 million views in Europe and North America.
This follows an agreement with the OTT service Kartina.TV, which since last year has also carried the group’s international versions of the Ukraina and NLO channels.
Commenting on the development, Oleksandr Remezovsky, director of the distribution channel and media platforms distribution department, said: “Bringing Ukraine 24 to a new, international level is extremely important in today’s realities. After coding Ukrainian channels on satellite, access to objective information for Ukrainians living and travelling abroad has become more limited. Launching the Ukraine 24 channel on OTT platforms is an important task for us. We believe that Ukraine 24 will be able to occupy this niche, and we will actively promote the channel on the international market”.
Yuri Sugak, editor-in-chief of the News Group Ukraine, added: “Now many people will have access to quality information content and honest news. Our channel is the fastest to respond to current events, shows different points of view and always reports on the most important things. Otherwise – no way. Ukraine 24 works for its viewers. And we are glad that there are more and more of them in different parts of the world”.
Ukraine 24 was launched six months ago and is offered in HD.
