T-Mobile has launched a new TV service aimed at its broadband customers in the Netherlands.
Known as T-Mobile TV, it provides more freedom of choice and ease of use for customers and includes such features as personal recommendations, seven-day catchup and cloud recording. These will soon be joined by a TV Anywhere app.
Commenting on the development, Tisha van Lammeren, director consumer market T-Mobile Netherlands, said: “With the new T-Mobile TV, we are now giving the consumer complete control. The current market in the area of content watching has always been our great source of inspiration in setting up this new TV service. With our new TV service, we are responding to today’s television viewing and we offer many interactive TV services that our loyal customers have eagerly awaited. We never stop improving our products and services and even after the introduction of this service we will continue to improve and add new features”.
Existing customers will be phased over to the new TV service in the coming months. They can continue to use their TV Box and will be automatically notified when they are transferred.
T-Mobile TV can only be purchased in combination with an internet subscription from T-Mobile Thuis for an extra €15 per month.
