M7 offers new ProSiebenSat.1 channels in Germany

July 15, 2020 10.43 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

M7 has renewed and expanded its long-standing cooperation with ProSiebenSat.1 for network and platform operators in Germany.

The new agreement enables M7 partners to distribute the four additional channels Sat.1 Gold HD, Kabel Eins Doku HD, Sat.1 Emotions and Kabel Eins Classics on IPTV platforms. The carriage contract also covers all ProSiebenSat.1 channels already part of the M7 platform.

Several additional functions offer viewers on M7 partner networks more TV comfort and flexibility when consuming ProSiebenSat.1 content, such as the restart of the currently running programme (instant restart), on-demand content on the channels’ catch-up services, cloud recordings (N-PVR) as well as second-screen TV access at home via smartphone and tablet.

“We are pleased that we continue to have ProSiebenSat.1 at our side as a strong partner, with whom we have had a successful partnership for HD channels since 2009. With the new channels and additional interactive features, M7 partners can enhance their TV offerings, strengthen customer loyalty and gain competitive advantages,” said Martijn van Hout, country manager Germany and Austria at M7.

Nicole Agudo Berbel, managing director and chief distribution officer of SevenOne Entertainment Group, added: “The new agreement between M7 and ProSiebenSat.1 makes television even more attractive, with the expanded range of our channels in HD on the one hand and flexible usage options on the other. The agreement is thus a further building block in our strategy of making ProSiebenSat.1 content available to our viewers for a comprehensive TV experience anywhere and at any time.”
