Tele 2’s Swedish cable business Com Hem saw a 12% decline as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company said it had been impacted by the suspension of premium sports channels, but had expected the fall, along with lower international roaming, declining equipment and mobile prepaid sales.
This resulted in a decline in ARPU of 8%. Tele 2 expects this to improve in the second half of the year.
There was a 5% fall in digital TV subscribers year-on-year. As of June 30, 2020 there were 994,000 subscribers with DTT seeing the greatest decline.
