Media Distillery has sold its media monitoring activities to the SoundAware Group, leaving it to focus on its video analysis business, based on the use of Artificial Intelligence technology.
SoundAware Group has acquired Media Distillery Monitoring BV, including customer relationships, some technology components and all the employees in the business. The activities will be merged with those of RTV Monitor, a company that became part of the SoundAware Group in 2019.
Roland Sars, CEO of Media Distillery, said the sale proved it had built a great platform and base that was a compliment to the entire team.
Harold de Groot, CEO of SoundAware Group added: “This acquisition enables us to accelerate the growth ambitions of RTV Monitor”.
Media Distillery’s analysis of video content has been adopted by companies including Telenet (Belgium), YouSee (Denmark), VTR (Chile) and Eutelsat (France).
