Romania’s media market is set to contract by 16.6% this year.
According to the latest edition of the annual Media Fact Book, produced by Initiative, it will be worth €401 million, compared to €480 million in 2019.
This will be following seven consecutive years of sustained growth and assumes a recovery in the second half of this year following the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, the TV ad market in Romania is forecast to contract by 15% in 2020 to €261 million.
This will be due to a small increase in Q1, followed by three decreases, the largest being in Q2, over the next three quarters.
