New Czech DVB-T2 dates

June 26, 2020 10.48 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech Republic’s Digital Broadcasting has announced new dates for the transition to the DVB-T2 standard.

Digizone reports that after retuning in Pardubice and Hradec Kralove earlier this week, the remaining retuning, in the Olomouc, South Moravia, Vysocina, Zlin and Moravia-Silesai regions, will take place in September.

Digital Broadcasting currently operates the DVB-T Multiplex 4, DVB-T2 Transitional Network 13 and DVB-T2 Multiplex 24.

The new dates were set in an agreement with the Czech Telecom Office (CTU) following a delay due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Digital terrestrial multiplexes in the Czech Republic are operated by Digital Broadcasting and the national transmission company Ceska Radiokomunikace (CRa).
