The Polish public broadcaster TVP will launch a new internet-delivered channel this Friday, June 26.
Known as TVP Kultura 2, it will be distributed on its TVP Stream platform.
Commenting on the development, Grzegorz Plaz, the director of the Centre of Culture and History at TVP, said :“By inaugurating the TVP Kultura 2 channel, we meet the expectations of viewers who now gain virtually unlimited access to our programmes, but above all we create another channel dedicated to culture. TVP Kultura 2 will not be a copy of its older sister (TVP Kultura). I am convinced that our editorial staff will be able to positively surprise viewers more than once.
“This is one of the elements of opening the channel to those who also want to have access to the highest quality culture online”.
TVP Kultura 2 will offer films, documentaries, series, performances and concerts and current affairs programmes. Younger viewers will be able to watch Polish and foreign animated films and series.
