German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will launch four new movie channels in the next 18 months.
Sky Crime will show international true crime programmes, while Sky Nature will screen nature and animal documentaries from all over the world. Sky Comedy will broadcast German and international comedy series, and Sky Documentaries will feature documentaries and Sky original productions covering sports, history and biographies.
At the same time, Sky Deutschland announced that it has extended its film rights agreements with Hollywood studio MGM and German independent labels Constantin and Tobis.
Furthermore, the carriage deal with documentary channel Discovery Channel has also been extended.
