Ukraine’s National Council has lodged an appeal against a decision of the District Administrative Court of Kiev in favour of the TV channel Inter.
In a statement, the regulator says it sanctioned Inter on March 22 for “showing films with the participation of actors who are included in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security”.
Inter then appealed to the District Administrative Court of Kiev to declare National Council’s decision illegal and have it cancelled. This the court did on April 30.
National Council says it is currently awaiting the transfer of its appeal by the court of first instance to the court of appeal.
