Antenna Hungária launches esports channel

June 15, 2020 10.57 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Hungarian national transmission company Antenna Hungária has added a new free esports channel named EsportGuru to its mindiGO service.

EsportGuru is on air for eight hours a day, seven days a week, and includes the most popular esports competitions such as the League of Legends European Championship, ESL, Dreamhack International CS:GO tournaments, as well as clashes from the Hungarian championship.

Commenting on the launch, Gyöngyvér Gerlei, Commercial Director of Antenna Hungária, said: “We are pleased to present the new EsportGuru online TV channel, a joint work of Antenna Hungária and Esport1, which can be accessed free of charge by our users in the mindiGO TV application and on the web interface after registration. Lovers of esports and video games will see exciting, unique content and live competition broadcasts on weekends. With EsportGuru, the number of free channels available in the mindiGO TV application has been increased to 17”.

Balázs Biró, communication and strategic manager of Esport1, added: “Since the establishment of Esport1, it has been the engine of innovation in Hungarian esports. Our cooperation with Antenna Hungária is one of our aspirations, which we are especially proud of. We are pleased to announce that after a long preparatory work, the EsportGuru channel will finally start operating, with which we will take esports content production to a new level in Hungary!”.
