SERAPHIC upgrades Sraf HbbTV 2 solution

SERAPHIC Information Technology has announced an upgraded Sraf HbbTV 2 solution compliant with HbbTV v2020-1 test cases.

Leveraging the up-to-date Blink/V8 engine, it 2 empowers HbbTV specification with the latest web technology resources, such as DDR memory, flash memory footprint, and CPU utilization etc.

SERAPHIC says that in order to minimize the impact of covid-19 pandemic on the TV industry, it has played a much more proactive role in guaranteeing the product development plan and offering strong support for HbbTV v2020-1.

HbbTV v2020-1, contains 2,586 test cases in total, including 177 for the new features in HbbTV specification v2.0.2, which is an important tool for device manufacturers to verify compliance of their products with the most current HbbTV specifications and their new features.

Commenting on the development, Xinwen Xue, VP product management at SERAPHIC, said: “Sraf HbbTV solution supports both Linux and Android platform and SERAPHIC always keep our HbbTV 2 compliant with the latest HbbTV test cases in the shortest time. We believe the up-to-date HbbTV 2 solution provides the better support for HbbTV applications in the whole product lifecycle as HbbTV-featured smart TV products are usually used for years at home”.
