Zattoo is expanding its white-label B2B service for network operators with a 4K Android TV receiver.
A strategic partnership was established with Skyworth Digital, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of set-top boxes, and its German subsidiary Strong Digital.
Zattoo’s B2B customers can now rely on a fully integrated service offer within the Android TV operator tier programme. It includes Zattoo’s TV-as-a-service product and the set-top box from Skyworth/Strong. Strong will handle box deployment, branding and after sales service throughout Europe.
The custom launcher for Android TV provided by Zattoo is an extension of the stand-alone Android TV application with deep-integrated features such as access to Google Play with thousands of apps. Network operators can also offer a selection of apps to end customers when the box is set up.
With the end-to-end solution, network operators can launch a multiscreen TV platform under their own brand, which Zattoo operates for them in the background. They also don’t need to deal with integrating suitable hardware.
