The Hungarian incumbent gained 72,750 TV customers in its home market in the 12 months ending March 31.
As of the end of the first quarter the number stood at 1,179, 394, of which 844,401 were IPTV, 231,912 DTH and 103,081 cable.
Although the number of IPTV subscribers grew significantly during the year (+106,604), the totals for both DTH and cable fell.
Meanwhile, blended TV ARPU in Q1 amounted to HUF3,274 (€9.26), up from HUF3,312 a year earlier.
In North Macedonia, Magyar Telekom’s subsidiary ended Q1 with 137,368 IPTV subscribers, up from 130,255 a year earlier.
Magyar Telekom as a whole had revenues of HUF159,333 million in Q1, down from HUF160,754 million a year earlier. It also had a loss of HUF812 million, compared to a profit of HUF14,501 million in Q1 last year.
