The leading Russian OTT provider ivi has appointed Grodetskiy as its executive director.
Kommersant reports that this is a new position and Grodetskiy will report directly to Oleg Tumanov, ivi’s founder and CEO.
It adds that while Tumanov will deal with strategic issues of company development, key business initiatives and partnerships, as well as work with investors, Grodetskiy will be responsible for operational matters. Grodeskiy was most recently the general director at the rival OTT platform Okko, which he left in March this year.
In other developments, ivi has appointed Yuri Smagarinsky, who formerly served as executive VP of sales and customer service at VimpelCom (Beeline), the company’s commercial director. It has also appoinred Maria Grechishnikova, previously VP, sales and international projects, Star Media, its head of content.
