Poland’s National Radio and Television Council (KRRiT) has approved a name change for Canal+.
In a statement, the regulator says that from May 1 the service plans to be known as Canal+ Premium.
Canal+ is one of the leading providers of premium TV services in Poland. Its offer currently includes over 170 TV channels, at least 100 of which are in HD.
It also gives viewers access to over 600 FTA services. Canal+’s offer in addition includes superfast LTE internet and mobile telephony.
Its Canal+ Internet service includes a TV Everywhere service known as ‘TV in the pocket’.
Canal+ is also the main shareholder in ITI Neovision, the operator of the DTH platform Canal+ Platforma.
