Telia’s TV business in Scandinavia and the Baltics Republics had a mixed first quarter.
While the number of subscriptions in Finland (593,000 v 568,000) and Lithuania (246,000 v 234,000) was higher than in the same period last year, that in Sweden (860,000 v 863,000), Norway (477,000 v 502,000), Denmark (21,000 v 24,000) and Estonia (211,000 v 214,000) fell.
There was also a mixed picture in terms of TV ARPU, with that in Lithuania (€11.9 v €10.1) and Estonia (€10.5 v €9.1) growing and that in Sweden (SEK174 v SEK177), Finland (€8.8 v €9.3), Norway (NOK294 v NOK304) and Denmark (DKK363 v DKK373) all falling.
Telia Group net sales in Q1 were 2.2% lower than a year earlier at SEK22,427 million, while adjusted EBITDA was 5.1% lower at SEK7,277 million.
Total net income was SEK1,146 million, down from SEK1,810 million a year earlier.
