Record quarter for CDA Premium

April 20, 2020 09.31 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Polish on demand service CDA Premium ended the first quarter with 266,300 paying subscribers, or 43% more than in the same period last year.

At the same time, according to the company’s latest set of results, its revenues were 46.7% higher at PLN13 million (€2.87 million).

The CDA Premium app had been installed 5.3 million times on TVs and mobile devices as of the end of March, or 1 million times more than only three months earlier.

Android apps were the most popular among users at over 4 million, with iOS at over 260,000. However, iPad and iPhone downloads increased the most, being 60% higher in March than February this year. Total app installations were 30-60% higher in March than February.

All told, the CDA Premium app had been downloaded almost 800,000 times for TVs and consoles as of the end of March. Android TV accounted for over 200,000, followed by LG (nearly 180,000), Xbox One (nearly 90,000) and Toshiba/JVC/Philips/Panasonic/TLC/Sony/Bravia/Hitachi sets (nearly 300,000).

After downloading the app users can for a fee access over 7,600 movies.
